Dr. Paul Pierce, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body.
Dr. Pierce’s passion for the field of plastic surgery is evident. He puts patients at ease with an engaging attitude and a calm demeanor. Dr. Pierce understands that each patient has unique desires and goals when considering surgery. He makes it his mission to educate patients about their options and works with each patient to achieve the best possible results.
Dr. Pierce graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's of arts in biology. He then attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he graduated with the added prestige of AOA Honor Society membership and the Hitoshi Nikaidoh MD Award for Humanism in Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Pierce completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. After residency, he chose to pursue additional fellowship training in hand and microsurgery at NYU.
After training, Dr. Pierce began practicing in Dallas, Texas, and joined the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, where he worked with some of the most acclaimed plastic surgeons in the world. During his six years in Dallas, he was voted a D Magazine Top Doctor and received the Vitals.com Patients Choice Award, On-Time Doctor Award, and Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award.
The opportunity to join Vanguard Skin Specialists prompted Dr. Pierce to leave his practice in Dallas and move his family to Colorado to experience all of the beauty and excitement that the great outdoors can offer.
With a wealth of knowledge, passion for perfection, and a steady hand, Dr. Pierce is driven to provide the highest quality of care for his patients. He is dedicated to staying current on the latest techniques and procedures available in the field of plastic surgery by attending local and regional plastic surgery meetings and collaborating with his colleagues across the country.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Dr. Paul Pierce was born and raised in southeast Texas as the oldest of three boys. He played numerous sports during his youth, but his main passion was soccer. As a college student, Dr. Pierce spent his free time trail running, mountain biking, amateur wrestling, backpacking around Europe, and running with the bulls.
After realizing he would never make it as a star WWF wrestler, Dr. Pierce chose to pursue a career in medicine and plastic surgery. While in medical school, Dr. Pierce met his wife, Leslie. As a dual physician family, they have learned to encourage and lean on one another to tackle whatever challenges occur. They have three amazing girls who love to sing, laugh, dance, and play. When he isn’t operating or seeing patients in the office, Dr. Pierce enjoys cooking, reading, running, hiking, skiing, and having impromptu dance parties with his kids.

AWARDS
- D Magazine Top Doctor (2020, 2018) – This award is given to the top physicians in their field in Dallas, as chosen by their peers. Dr. Pierce was selected for Plastic Surgery-Cosmetic Surgery.
- Hitoshi C. Nikaidoh MD Award for Humanism in Medicine (2007) – This award was established in memory of Hitoshi C. Nikaidoh, who died tragically in a 2003 accident, two months after beginning his residency training. Dr. Nikaidoh was known for his exemplary interpersonal skills, ever-present smile, and caring, giving nature toward patients, colleagues, and everyone he encountered. This award honors those qualities in a graduating medical student, as selected by the faculty.
- Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society member (2006 – 2008) – AOA is the only national medical honor society and has chapters in all but five U.S. medical schools. Members are selected on the basis of academic achievement, public and school service accomplishments, and demonstrated professionalism.
